How to Put a TikTok Video on Your WhatsApp Status (Without Watermark)
Learn how to post a TikTok video on your WhatsApp Status, on Android and iPhone, without the TikTok watermark. Free, no app needed, step by step.
You found a funny, touching or useful TikTok and want to post it on your WhatsApp Status for your contacts? The problem: WhatsApp doesn't let you post a TikTok link as a video status. You first need to save the video to your phone.
Good news: it's simple, free, and takes less than a minute. Here's the full method, on Android and iPhone, with a bonus: a video without the TikTok watermark for a cleaner status.
Why can't you share a TikTok directly to your Status?
When you tap Share → WhatsApp in TikTok, the app usually sends a link, not the video itself. Your contacts only see a preview: they have to tap it and open TikTok to watch.
For the video to play directly in your Status, like a video you filmed yourself, it must be saved in your gallery.
Step 1: copy the TikTok video link
- Open TikTok and go to the video.
- Tap Share (the arrow on the right).
- Tap Copy link.
Step 2: save the video without watermark with ViyaSave
- Open viyasave.xyz/en in your browser (Chrome, Safari…).
- Paste the link in the box, or tap Paste.
- Tap Download, then Download MP4.
The video is saved as an MP4, without the bouncing TikTok logo, in the best available quality.
Where is the video?
- On Android: in your Gallery, or in the Files app, in the Downloads folder.
- On iPhone: in the Files app, in the Downloads folder. Open the video, tap Share, then Save Video to add it to Photos.

Step 3: post the video on your WhatsApp Status
On Android
- Open WhatsApp and go to the Updates tab (or Status, depending on your version).
- Tap the camera icon 📷 or Add status.
- Pick the video from your gallery.
- If it's long, choose the part to keep with the bar at the top of the screen.
- Add text or emojis if you like, then tap Send ➤.
On iPhone
- Open WhatsApp and go to the Updates tab (or Status).
- Tap My status or the camera icon 📷.
- Select the video from your photos.
- Trim it if needed, then tap Send ➤.
Tip: if the video is too long for Status
WhatsApp limits the length of Status videos. If your video is longer, the app lets you trim it, or sometimes splits it automatically into several parts, depending on your version.
Our advice:
- Keep the best moment: short statuses get watched to the end more often.
- To share a long video in full, post it as several statuses in a row, choosing a different part each time.
- Update WhatsApp: newer versions often accept longer videos.
Tip: if the quality looks worse in your Status
WhatsApp compresses videos so they load fast. To limit quality loss:
- download the video in the best possible quality (ViyaSave does this for you);
- on recent WhatsApp versions, look for the HD option when posting your status;
- avoid downloading and re-sending the same video many times: it loses a little quality each time.
What about sending it to a friend or a group?
Even easier: once the video is in your gallery, open the WhatsApp chat, tap the paperclip 📎 (or + on iPhone), choose Gallery or Photos & Videos, and select the video.
Your contact can watch it right in WhatsApp, without opening TikTok.
Respect creators
TikTok videos belong to the people who made them. Sharing a video on your Status with friends and family is common, but:
- don't pass off someone else's video as your own;
- if you can, mention the creator in your status text (for example: "Video by @creatorname");
- don't use someone else's video to advertise or make money without their permission.
